3/17/17, Phoenix is all cured of her medical problem and is now ready to search for her forever home. She would do better in a home where someone is home a lot. Phoenix would not mind being an only dog or perhaps have one other canine playmate. She sleeps with her foster mom and dad in their bed and loves to cuddle. Phoenix is a bit hearing impaired but it doesn’t bother her a bit. Please put in an adoption application if you think she is the girl for you.
11/19/16, Phoenix’s foster mom had this to say about her: Phoenix is doing good! She has continued to blossom into such a sweet girl. She still has a bladder infection and we are taking some time off from treatment and regroup with new ideas. What is not mentioned in her bio, but what we are seeing happening, is that she is going deaf. This doesn’t seem to impact her, but we like to mention it.

8/18/16, We have had to move Phoenix back to In Waiting because she is being treated for a urinary tract infection.

7/4/16, Phoenix is a sweet sweet seven-year-old female who is looking for her forever home! She would do best in a home with older children or no children and no young pets! She would also like new parents that are home a lot! If she could be your perfect fit please go to our website and fill out an app! Please read below what her foster mom has to say about her.

4/9/16, Phoenix is now ready to find her forever home.
Her foster mom wrote this about her: “My name is Phoenix and I am looking for my forever home. My name has not always been Phoenix. I had another name in my old life. My foster mom and dad say that my old life is behind me now and I am only to focus on the good stuff this new life has instore for me!
When my foster mom picked me up I was scared and did not trust her, my foster dad, or my foster brothers. In fact, I would bit at my foster brothers because I was not feeling good and afraid. I also won’t eat much of anything, but I was really hungry! My foster mom and dad tried all kinds of food, spent hours just sitting with me day and night, and waited for me to trust.
Now I know what it means to be a treasured Pug. My foster mom says I am a princess and I know that I am my foster dad’s little angel. I love to eat, but I am not hungry like I was before. I don’t have many teeth so my food has to be soft, but don’t think you can cut out dry food out of my diet! My foster mom can tell you how I like it! I love playing with squeak toys, my favorite! I love to be anywhere my foster dad is, so when he is outside I am right beside him. I don’t do anything in a rush….other than eat.
My favorite spot on the bed to sleep is on a pillow between my foster mom and dad’s pillows. That is REALLY my foster brothers’ spot, but he is such a gentleman that sometimes he lets me sleep there. When I cannot sleep on the pillow I sleep snuggled up to my foster mom and dad….they even gave me my very own blanket to keep me toasty. Sometimes I have to go potty in the night and my foster mom always gets up to let me out.
Phoenix has had a very hard life before CFPR. She no longer like to be in a crate unless the door is open and she can go in and out. She does not jump on the furniture, but she wants to be next to you. I have beds all over so she has a soft spot when we are not at home. She still needs to gain some weight. Phoenix needs a home that she can be loved and cherished. She is okay with other dogs, but we don’t know about cats. She loves to play with kids, but only if they are gentle. Can you offer our sweet baby the home she deserves?”

2/28/16, Phoenix, was spayed and had her dental and had some mammary tumors removed and is doing well.

2/19/16, Welcome to Phoenix to CFPR! This sweet girl came in from the shelter today and as you can see she is very thin! She is in desperate need of a dental and will also need to be spayed and have some mammary tumors removed. We think she is about 6 to 7 years old. We will have her fixed up in no time!

Adoption Fee: $275
